On The Edge

A red world of chaos behind my eyes,

I see it when I blink,

Sun rips away the cheap disguise,

  Teetering on this brink,

Leap! Leap! Rages the wind in my ears,

  Tears my heart to shreds,

Thinly veiled storm of tears,

  A tempest in my bed.

  1. Dunno if this is relevant or not but your poem reminded me of one I have had rattling around in my head for the last year or so.

    On the weather, Southern California:

    This weather is killing me!
It is melting my frozen heart!
The sunshine pierces the darkest depths of my soul!
    Aaaaagggghh!!!
