Out Walkin’ 1/10

Graceful, silent, moving in darkness,

The approaching tread of a cat,

Muffled in an Autumn mist,

   Through dripping trees,

Skies are silent, with a bashful moon,

   Peering through purple clouds,

And a cold night wind,

   In my hair,

This road is holding me, cradles each footstep,

Walking to the beat of my heart,

On a lonely wet evening,

   Humming a little tune,

Smiling with a secret thought,

   Of banked inner fires,

Memories indulged,

   Shamelessly,

Each step takes me further,

   From silly old habits,

And fallen stars,

   In brown eyes.
