Still Remember…

When the summer winds blow warm and kind,

And stars frolic in the night,

I will dance with bare toes in the grass,

In the blessed Goddess light,

I will speak the truth you fear to know,

In a quiet midnight breath,

Swaying as the darkest winds will blow,

across a notebook’s death,

Like the carcass of an empty pen,

Falling to the salted ground,

This healed flesh will burn again,

Though I’ll utter not a sound,

Only the mind that learns to bend,

Will hear the hidden words,

Even the best of nights will end,

With the call of morning birds.
