Darkness Holds Me

If you were to turn around,

You would see me standing there,

In night’s celestial gown,

With starlight in my hair,

Spilling midnight from my lips,

Teardrops from my words,

When my pen hand dips,

The shadows all converge,

But you do not turn your head,

Your eyes see greener fields,

And each time my notebook bled,

It became a strength you wield.
