Wearing My Walkin’ Shoes

Though I’m feeling weightless in a gloaming

My heart is too heavy for me to bear

Directionless, my blissful roaming

Met your footprints there

How odd the circles that we turn

They dizzy my perspective

The past is fire, trust is burned

Latent thoughts reflective

Scars I bare like honor’s mark

On tender sunny skin

Light my eyes when skies are dark

And midnight creeps on in

Reflected in my sweet red wine

The tears that do not fall

All will heal with passing time

Or it is no faith at all.
