So You Say

Waves lapping at me, lapping at me, attempting to soften my edges,
Rough bones sharply contrast, in sandy hidden ledges,

Drop down into the deep end, yes my metaphor is creeping,
Behind your eyelids as you ponder, in your breath when you are sleeping,

Floating in the gray place where colors coddle shape and form,
Obscure rhymes haunting the pages, heart forlorn,

I will burrow in my ink stains like a bear sleeping off the cold,
Sending roots down seeking water, let sweet petals unfold,

Tempting bees with my nectar, polinating smiles you squander,
Still in the silence of this ocean, my heavy thoughts will wander.
