Farewell To Spring, Aloha Summer

This, the last day of spring

Where shadows dance and wavelets sing

Rhythm pulls to eager feet

Stained red with earth, they spell the beat

Driftwood fire with a glowing smile

His warm face cackles with merry wile

We sit with him as the day grows thin

See the sun grow weary and settle in

Sand, still warm on burrowing toes

Giving the starlight velvet prose

We bid adieu, farewell, with an ancient dance

To the passing year and winds of chance
