Lady Luna

This is a little exercise I decided to do to sharpen my brain-pencil (Not sure what a brain-pencil is I just made it up on the fly… Sounds good, why not?) Each stanza is a haiku that can be read individually, or as a whole to create the poem.

Perhaps this blue moon

Sailing cloudy ocean waves

Will berth on my shore

Illuminating

In her mysterious way

That which hides by day

Perchance pale pages

Will reflect her animate

Dance among starlight

Weaving my letters

Among silver adjectives

Embody moments

Riverside fire

Driftwood popping to rhythms

Of windy Aspen

Pages after all

Were once trees themselves

Before Poet’s graffiti

Lunar Lady sighs

Smiling darkly, in her way

Keeping to herself

Poetry written

Invisibly in shadow

Only for the owls
