Do Not Make A Wish

Burning in your darkness

My fiery path was a comet’s arch

Hot silver smile trailing dusty words

Poetry that sparkled, spakled

Your naked white canvass

In a flash, like epiphany

I was gone again from your heavens

Leaving that wandering eye

Blinded by a ghostly remnant

Superimposed upon your retina

A gaping shadow

Where the light of me

Has vanished
